Our Story
Open Book was born after we found out that 95% of Christians have never read the entire Bible. We thought there was no way this statistic could be accurate, until a friend who was interviewing to become a youth pastor confided in us that he had never read the whole Bible. As heartbreaking as that was, we soon realized that the root of the problem is not a lack of desire to read the Bible, but a lack of understanding about how to read the Bible. The Open Book team is here to equip you with the tools that you need in order to understand the Bible better than you ever have before. We want you to not only read your Bible more, but to radically change the way you feel about reading your Bible. Studying Scripture should be something we love and enjoy, not dread and avoid.

I was born and raised in Washington State and have been married to my wife, Piper, since February of 2019, and I began my very first pastoral position in October of 2019. Today, we have two amazing boys, whom my wife homeschools, and I am currently employed as a Next Gen Pastor. My biggest passion in life is helping others fall in love with God's word. When I'm not at the church, you can find me hunting, fishing, camping or playing any sport except soccer.
